Your tasks will include:

  • User-centered design of software solutions
  • Agile development and testing of software solutions
  • Implementation of scientific research and technology transfer projects
  • Cooperation with industry and other research institutions
  • Project results represented to clients and through publications in the professional community

 

What you bring
 

In addition to a completed scientific degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar fields of study, we require an interest in modern web technology, software architecture and software development methods. You have experience in the field of artificial intelligence and/or optimization, knowledge of graph theory, especially Bayesian networks would be desirable. Programming knowledge of Python, Java and C++ is a prerequisite.  You have the motivation to work on new problems independently. You have very good German and English language skills and a high degree of initiative, creativity and team spirit.

In exciting and varied projects with partners from industry, the public sector and academia, you will accelerate the use of artificial intelligence in industry.  As an interface between users and backend developers, you will find creative solutions and ensure impressive user experiences. You work on varied use cases together with different companies. You will publish and discuss your research results at international conferences as well as in industry and research bodies. Involvement in academic teaching is possible. Regular training tailored to your individual needs and the best possible technical equipment are just as much a matter of course as a corporate culture characterized by collegiality.

The weekly working time is 39 hours. The position can also be filled on a part-time basis. Employment, remuneration and social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD). In addition, Fraunhofer may grant performance- and success-based variable compensation components.
