SmartFactoryOWL, a cooperation project of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft and the Hochschule OWL, is a manufacturer-independent and open industry 4.0 research and demonstration platform and at the same time a test field for small and medium-sized businesses in East Westphalia-Lippe. By demonstrating the user benefits of Industry 4.0 modules, companies are to be sensitized and informed about the potentials of digitization and intelligent automation. At the same time, the SmartFactoryOWL allows them to try out and test new technologies and integrate them into their production, work and business processes with the support of an interdisciplinary team of experts.
