Seminar: Industry 4.0 Communication with OPC UA

The standardized path to Industry 4.0

The challenge: future viability and location security - but how?

What does digitization mean for your production processes? What potential do the Industry 4.0 standards hold for you? How do you systematically set out on the path to networked machines and transparent processes? What added values are created? What must secure, powerful and interoperable machine communication be able to do in the production environment? The seminar shows a migration strategy towards Industrie 4.0 communication and thus possible digital business models. The event will focus in particular on SMEs.

 

The solution: OPC UA. Accepted interoperability framework for Industry 4.0.

In 2017, the German Engineering Federation (Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbauer e.V.) committed to OPC UA as its Industrie 4.0 interface. [Guide OPC UA for the introduction in medium-sized businesses] The seminar "Industrie 4.0 Communication with OPC UA" presents Industrie 4.0 use cases and offers a hands-on introduction to OPC UA technology - in practical exercises and theory. For this purpose, Fraunhofer IOSB-INA provides a state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure. Place your company in the migration strategy developed by Fraunhofer IOSB-INA and gain planning and investment security.

The OPC UA toolbox for Industry 4.0 communication: use cases, information modeling and "companion specifications", implementation. The focus is on learning through application: The contents are directly implemented and consolidated through practical exercises. The ratio of practice to theory is approximately 1:1.
