omlox Plugfest and Conference 2026

Welcome to the omlox Plugfest & Conference 2026 – the key event for everyone driving industrial localization with the open omlox standard. From June 9–11, 2026, PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI) and Fraunhofer IOSB-INA invite you to SmartFactoryOWL in Lemgo, Germany, where industry, research and solution providers come together in a real-world production environment.

The event is structured into two main parts: During the omlox Plugfest, manufacturers and integrators collaboratively test, integrate and validate their omlox-based solutions under realistic conditions. The omlox Conference complements this with expert presentations, live demos and best-practice insights that showcase how omlox can make production and logistics more transparent, efficient and future-proof.

Please note: The official language of both the omlox Plugfest and the omlox Conference is English.

On this page, you will find all details about the plugfest, conference program, additional activities and participation options – as well as the registration. Scroll down to explore the individual sessions and secure your place at omlox Plugfest & Conference 2026.

omlox Plugfest

Test your assets under real-world conditions | June 09-10, 2026

Are you a manufacturer of omlox components (hardware or software assets)? → Then you don’t want to miss the omlox Plugfest.

Make use of this rare opportunity to test the interoperability of your components in realistic scenarios together with systems from other manufacturers and the reference setup at the Fraunhofer IOSB-INA test lab. See how well your assets already comply with the omlox standard – in a vendor-neutral, protected environment. Participation is reserved for omlox members and partners.

Several manufacturers and providers of omlox core zones, hubs, connectable providers, and apps have already registered. Use the event to test your application in interaction with these solutions.

Your benefits:

• Interoperability tests (plug and play, positioning, timing, hub connectivity, mixed environments)
• Direct access to testing environment and experts for the omlox standard
• Valuable feedback on product maturity and preparation for certification and customer deployment
