Seminar: IT Security in Automation Technology

The seminar provides the basic knowledge of current automation systems - from the classic system to the cyber physical production system in the sense of Industry 4.0. In addition to the basic knowledge of communication and control technology, you will experience a practical introduction in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment.

You will become familiar with established methods for intelligent and secure Industrie 4.0 communication. Using the Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA), you will realize use cases such as condition monitoring, plug & work and optimization. A good overview of safety mechanisms in automation technology strengthens and sensitizes you to safety-critical processes and enables you to receive targeted training.
