Assistance system XTEND

XTEND | mobile supports the operation and maintenance of machines and systems regardless of location by superimposing and displaying digital information on mobile devices, e.g. via tablet or data glasses. The assistance system recognizes the environment and the respective work context and offers the user adaptive and situation-dependent support.

Thanks to the generic application, it is possible to enrich the real environment with appropriate interaction elements: for example, instructions, live data or animations. Thus, all static objects can be used as a basis for interaction: e.g. machines, books, houses.  Due to the easy usability of the application, it is therefore also possible for "untrained" persons to use the application and create interaction forms with objects within a short time.

For distributed production, XTEND | remoteSupport relies on networked assistance that connects workstations regardless of location. In a video conference mode, remote users can connect to each other if necessary and act from different camera perspectives in the work environment of the other production process. Relevant areas in the observed workspace can be highlighted and projected onto the workspace.

XTEND | training enables the on-the-job training of employees in the fields of assembly, maintenance and repair. The assistance system is based on the individual needs and skills of the employees and adapts the speed and content of the learning process with the help of intelligent algorithms.
